I’m back. I know it’s been a long time and I’m sorry. I really have to get better at this. Any way, just watched Assault on Precinct 13. Not the original but the 2005 one. Now I’m a fan of action, love it better then anything else. So for me this was a I thought a good choice. It truned out I was right. it was a good choice. I’m not going to get into the why’s and wherefore’s of the production and the actors strength’s or weaknesses. Let’s just say I liked it, a lot better then the 1976 model. And if you haven’t noticed I do kinda like Gabriel Byrne. He plays a bad guy and I never really understood why he never really got the good roles. You know leading men to die for roles. Well in this film I finally figured it out. He dies well. So Now I won’t be so sad when he doesn’t get the lead. Ethan Hawke Looks more like a crack head, he’s so thin. And Lawrence Fishburne Does a good job. This may or may not be your cup of tea but for me it was worth a look. Just wish they’d not had all those women. Kinda took away a lot of the action that could have been in it. But the fem fatal I understand. All in all a good film for a rainy day with popcorn.. I will give it a three and half stars.
